Garage door repair in St. Helena
St. Helena is about 25 minutes up Highway 29 from our Napa office. Orsini's springs start at $245 here, and the $149 tune-up tests an older opener's auto-reverse. Half of St. Helena's homes were built in 1974 or earlier, and an opener made before 1993 may have no photo-eye safety sensors.

St. Helena questions
Is there an extra charge to come to St. Helena?
No. The service call is the same $59 as in Napa, waived when you go ahead with the repair.
Is an opener from the 1980s still safe?
Openers made before 1993 may not have photo eyes or an edge sensor, because the federal entrapment rule (16 CFR 1211) started with units made that year. Test yours: lay a 2x4 flat under the door and close it. If the door doesn't reverse when it touches the board, stop using the opener. The tune-up and safety check, from $149, includes that test.
Do you repair wood and carriage-style doors in St. Helena?
Yes, at the same starting prices as in Napa. We replace springs, cables, rollers and openers on wood and carriage-style doors. A heavy wood door can need bigger springs, which raises the spring price. New doors start at $1,595 installed.
